ASAPIO at Mid-Year 2026: Turning the AI-First Promise into Production
SAP just made our bet official. At SAPPHIRE 2026, the Autonomous Enterprise and Joule Work became the roadmap, not just a keynote slide. Here’s what that confirmation means for us, and for you.
Six months ago, we set out to prove something simple but not easy: that an SAP software and consulting company can be AI-first not as a slogan, but as a daily way of working. Looking back at the first half of 2026, I want to share where that journey has taken us, and why I believe the next six months will be even more interesting than the last.
This letter is for everyone who has been part of this: our team, our customers, and our partners. Thank you for building this with us.
SAP SAPPHIRE 2026: Confirmation, Not Surprise
In May, we were in Orlando for SAP SAPPHIRE 2026, and one thing became very clear: the direction we bet on early is now SAP’s official roadmap.
The Autonomous Enterprise, Joule Work, and the SAP Business AI Platform were not abstract keynote slides to us. They were validation of a thesis we have been building products and services around for a while.
The message we brought home was simple: SAP confirms the direction, ASAPIO delivers the implementation.
Clean Core, event-driven integration, and agentic architectures on BTP are no longer “future state” topics. They are what our customers need to get right today. Our role as an AI-first SAP partner is to make that transition production-ready, not just possible on a slide.
ASAPIO Event Studio: AI-First, Built the Way We Preach It
Our answer to that shift is ASAPIO Event Studio, our event-driven architecture offering for S/4HANA.
It is designed for exactly the world SAP described in Orlando: real-time, decoupled, ready for autonomous processes and AI agents to act on business events instead of waiting for a batch job.
But the more interesting story for me is how we built it. We did not just talk about being an AI-first company, we used AI-first ways of working to get there, from architecture decisions to content and go-to-market.
If we ask our customers to trust AI-driven transformation, we owe it to them to run our own business the same way first.
Turning SAP Data into Decisions: AI Transformation and ASAPIO Spend Lens
A quieter but, in my view, equally important development this half-year has been our work on AI-driven transformation for procurement and finance, anchored around ASAPIO Spend Lens.
The idea is straightforward: the data our customers already have in SAP – purchase orders, invoices, supplier master data – is far more valuable when an AI layer can surface spend patterns, supplier risk, and savings opportunities in plain language, on demand, instead of buried in a report someone has to build manually.
This is where I see AI transformation becoming tangible for our customers: not a lab experiment, but a tool that changes how a procurement lead starts their Monday morning.
Expect to hear more from us on this in the second half of the year.
Growing With Purpose
Beyond the product and event highlights, ASAPIO itself kept growing this half-year, in team, in client relationships, and in the depth of what we can deliver across S/4HANA, Integration, Ariba, and Fieldglass.
Growth for its own sake has never been the goal here. Growth that lets us go deeper for our customers is.
Looking Ahead to H2 2026
Before we get there, many of us will take a few days off during the summer break, to recharge our batteries and to collect ideas about what is possible in H2.
The second half of the year will be about turning what we validated in H1 into scaled delivery: more customers live on event-driven S/4HANA, more AI-assisted procurement insight through Spend Lens, and continued investment in making ASAPIO itself a reference case for what an AI-first SAP partner looks like from the inside.
To our team: thank you for building this with the “wanting it is nice, shipping it is better” mindset every single day.
To our customers: thank you for trusting us with the transformations that matter most to your business.
To our partners: thank you for growing this ecosystem with us.
Here is to a second half that is even more ambitious than the first.
