Fiori apps, Clean Core, and better logging
SAP Fiori configuration apps
New Fiori apps for configuration and reference tables, for teams who want configuration inside the Fiori Launchpad rather than a separate tool.
Clean Core check
All components fulfil the clean-core requirements.
New application log
A dedicated log for IDocs, including long text in rejection/error updates.
Multi-line Work Orders with Spend Matrix
A Spend Matrix lets one Work Order carry several line items for different purposes, each with its own accounting. October 2026 Release Update integrates it end-to-end.
Created in Fieldglass with a Spend Matrix template.
Created from the downloaded Work Order.
Limit PO or Service PO variant – each line keeps its own account assignment.
PR/PO status sent back to Fieldglass.
Time sheet / expense sheet posted to the matching matrix line.
Revisions (end date, budgets) update the PR/PO through the full lifecycle. Spend Matrix for Work Orders is also available on SAP S/4HANA Lean Services.
Process improvements
Change pointers
Improved creation of change pointers, with queue-based processing for Lean Services.
Account assignment category "X"
Supported in SOW PO Upload and for Fieldglass-initiated POs – assign different cost objects across a single process, e.g. on a Purchase Order and its Service Entry Sheet.
SOW & Event Owner
SOW Owner and Event Owner are now transferred with the upload – keeping accountability clear from the SAP side of the process.
Texts to CF text area
Item and header texts mapped via conversion routines, with a configurable maximum length.
Attachments
PO item attachments uploaded to the SOW header by document type; can be disabled.
Multi-backend & status
An automatic suffix in the SOW XML supports multi-backend setups; integration status is stored in the PO header text.
Contract Picklists & Event Hierarchy
Contract picklist upload
Contract items are added to the item picklist via a new version 2 extractor, with dynamic naming of header, item and condition picklists and improved checks (e.g. removal of special characters).
Validity buffer
A configurable validity buffer after contract expiry (default 90 days) keeps services available for a defined period after the contract ends.
Event hierarchy
SOW/Event discounts for standard services are mapped as the pricing condition "Vendor Discount"; contract category W (material group) now gets a default unit of measure.
Accounting & Service Entry Sheet posting
Split accounting
Items with the same account assignment category are aggregated into one PO item.
Proof of service URL
A URL attached to the Service Entry Sheet routes back to the matching Fieldglass document.
New posting switches also cover: disabling time confirmation without an employee ID, posting time confirmation only after SES release, skipping pro-forma invoices for mixed Fieldglass/external invoicing, and posting multi-account-assignment SES in two steps.
New response handlers and vendor invitation support
Invoice responses
New response handlers for both posted and paid invoices.
Vendor invitation by a 3rd-party system
A vendor invited via a system such as SAP MDG registers in Fieldglass with a selected scope; the supplier download then updates the Vendor ID and scope (e.g. RSOW, RCONT).
Master data extractors
New master data extractors for company objects.
